Named after the conservationist Joy Adamson, who was made famous by the film "Born Free" and who moved here from Meru National Park, the camp sits an arid landscape dotted with lush springs and rocky river gorges.These support the abundant wildlife that can be seen on game drives, including the Somali ostrich, generuk, lesser kudu, leopards, plenty of lions, herds of elephants and buffalo and the rare desert species of Beira Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe and Gravy's Zebra.
