Maasai Mara is the most popular game reserve in Kenya located in South- Western Kenya, which is a continuation of the Serengeti National park in Tanzania.
It’s managed by the Maasai people an indigenous group of semi nomadic people.
It’s most famous for the annual migration of Zebra and wildebeest from the Serengeti every year from July to October in search of water and green pastures and return back in late October.
The Mara River divides the two game reserve. The crossing of the river by animals is itself fascinating.
The climate is generally not too hot and rainfall well spread year round.
WHAT TO SEE
There is a plenty of animals to see such as lions which walk in twenty or more prides, Thompson’s and gazelle’s offer a rich choice of food for the predators,buffalo,crocodile,hippotatunus,giraffe,monkey,bushbaby,topi,cheetah,bushpig.

The large roan antelope and the nocturnal bat –eared fox rarely present in elsewhere in Kenya can be seen in the game reserve.
The wildebeests are the dominant inhabitant of the Maasai Mara they are estimated to be in millions.
Zebra are also found in large herds.
A hot air balloon is also used across the plains for better viewing of the animals.
It’s a great opportunity to visit the Maasai people and get to learn about their culture.
