Tour Type - Overland Safaris, Destination - Malawi Tour Summary Day 1 Arrive at Lilongwe International Airport. Drive to Luwawa forestry Lodge on the Viphya plateau. Lunch on route Dinner at the Lodge Day 2 We spent the whole day on the Viphya plateau exploring the many walking trails through the forest. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served at the Lodge Day 3 After Breakfast we departure via Mzuzu, to the Vwaza Marsh game reserve. We put up our bush camp overlooking Lake Kazuni inside the Game Reserve. Lunch and Dinner served at our Bush camp Day 4 Early morning gamewalk along the shores of Lake Kazuni. Depart after breakfast at our bush camp to the Nyika NP. Settle down at the chalets of Chelinda camp. Night drive over the plateau. Lunch and Dinner at the Chalets Day 5 Game drives and game walks over the Nyika plateau. Breakfast, lunch and Dinner at the Chalets. Day 6 After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip of Cheldinda to catch the flight to Likoma Island. Arrive at Likoma Island and transfer to the Kaya Mawa Lodge. Full board Kaya Mawa. Day 7 Stay the whole day on Likoma Island. Visit the village the beach and the Cathedral . Full board Kaya Mawa Day 8 After Breakfast we will be transferred by boat to the shore of Mozambique where the Manda Wilderness team will be awaiting for us to take us to the Mchenga Nkwichi Lodge inside the Manda Wilderness reserve. We stay two days at this beautiful paradise. Full board Day 9 Mchenga Nkwichi Lodge game activities, full board Day 10 Early morning transfer to Cobue where we will board the Ilala, the nostalgic steamer of Lake Niassa/Malawi to ship us back to Nhkotakota, a small fishing town on the shores of lake Malawi. Our Vehicle will transfer us to the Nhkotatakota game reserve. Overnight stay at our bush camp in the reserve. Lunch on board of the Ilala, Dinner at the bush camp. Day 11 After breakfast, game walk along the Bua river searching for the many elephant herds domestic to the reserve. Transfer via the famous Mua Mission and museum to the Liwonde NP. Full board at the Mvuu Lodge based along the with hippo infested Shire River. Day 12 Game drives, game walks, boat ride, night drives in the Liwonde NP. Full board at the Mvuu Lodge. Day 13 After breakfast transfer to Cape maclear. Here we will Kayak to Island of Mumba and stay and relax at lodge on the Mumba Island. We can swim, snorkel and dive on the Island, or explore the surroundings by foot. Full board . Day 14 Whole day on Mumba Island Full board . Day 15 After breakfast, kayak back to the mainland (or by motorboat). Transfer back to Lilongwe. Lunch on route
